4 Days Double Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari

The 4 days double Rwanda gorilla tracking safari in Rwanda tour will start and end either from the Kigali International airport or hotel. Not like the other safari tours in Rwanda, in this 4 Days Gorilla safari, you will need 2 gorilla trekking permits since you will have to trek 2 times in the volcanoes national park. In this same park you will have to go for the golden monkeys tracking where you will also see other primates such as the black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, baboons and others.

4 days double Rwanda gorilla tracking safari: Safari Details

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes

Pick up from either airport or hotel by our company tour and will brief you about your safari. You will then depart for Kigali for a city tour, have lunch in Kigali and later drive to Ruhengeri – Volcanoes National park.  Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: First Gorilla trekking & Cultural /nature walk

Have an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters with packed lunch & water for a briefing from one of the park rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. Time take searching for these Gentle Giants ranges between 2-8hours depending on the movement of gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Second gorilla tracking

Start your day with breakfast and head to the park headquarters for your second gorilla trekking experience. The second trek offers you another chance to enjoy gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. You can choose to visit the same gorilla group or a different one. Relax in the evening at the lodge.

Day 4: Golden monkey tracking or Dian Fossey tombs tour

Have breakfast early, and head out for golden monkeys tracking in the bamboo forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali, if you missed a city tour on the first day, then we do it here to Gisozi genocide memorial site, local art & craft shops, do last minute shopping before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
